1995 -
Situated on the A38 between Gloucester and Tewkesbury the "Queens Head" has been
in private ownership since 1995. We have built up one of the finest reputations for
food and real ales in the Gloucestershire area and further afield.
We decided to concentrate on fine food from the very beginning,
with a number of
managed places (i.e Beefeater/Harvester/
Frankie & Bennys etc) in the area offering
the same nationwide menu, we thought we would go one step better and we employ 4
chefs who are passionate about what they produce.
(Our head chef was the head chef
at a local 4 star hotel )
They enjoy proper cooking and using there culinary skills
to create menus without the full time use of microwaves or orders from a national
head office.
We work on very low profit margins for the food we produce,
and for over
17 years have worked on the basis "Value for money"
If we don't give you value for
money you will not come back!!!!. its as simple as that.
(There are not many places
that can claim 17 years under the same ownership.)
We are full most nights of the
week so please book in advance
although we will always try and squeeze you in.
We also stock at least 4/5 real local ales and some 25 different malts.
An ideal gift
for friends or family is a "gift voucher" we can print for any amount you wish, and
its valid for 12 months. Just give us a ring and we will have it ready for you to
collect
We have no connection with any other pub/restaurant we only own this one. We do not believe you can run a number of outlets and give a personal service and a watchful eye !!!
We do not allow children under 12 Years of age in the Queens Head as we do not hold the relevant council licences.
